Most people don't even know the other half exists.

As a society, we don't talk about poop nearly enough. It wasn't until midway through college that I realized people had serious differences in wiping styles. I was flabbergasted. Today, when I raise this topic in polite conversation (which I do often), I notice that most people are similarly ignorant of the phenomenon.
